Polygon: a clamshell phone with the sensor screen instead of the keyboard
lengcay - 6-10-2006 at 09:01 AM

Alloy Total Product Design has developed a concept of a multimedia phone called the Polygon. It’s a clamshell with two screens inside. The first one has a large size, high resolution and optimization for TV programs.

The traditional keyboard is replaced with the sensor screen of lower resolution. Such design has some major advantages – the navigation user’s interface gets changed depending on the context (unlike the keyboard the sensor screen doesn’t have a fixed assignment to the existing buttons), besides it’s possible to work in portrait and landscape modes.

At Bengalboy.com site you can come across a small review of an upcoming, but not yet officially announced Motorola Canary – a RAZR-style phone. In particular, there are recent live photos of the phone.

The author says, the phone is meant for GSM networking (quad-band) and can work in EDGE standard. It is equipped with a 2-megapixel camera with video capture opportunity, an expansion slot for microSD cards, 17 MB of internal memory, Bluetooth 2.0 interface supporting A2DP.

the thing with all these new phones is that they have so much quality technology that its quite hard to fully utilise..and you have to cover it with bubble wrap before you take it out anywhere...

I'm not too fond of all the touch screen action, it would fuck up the screen and make it look pretty badhttp://media.libsyn.com/media/wonderyears/hehe7.JPG
