Psp 3000 now this... ARG Companies should really refund previousily bought items... I so want the new versions lol

can someone explain how this is supposed to be better than the DS Lite? From what I can see, there's practically no gain, and even some losses in function...

..haha, nevermind, just saw it.. two touchscreens and a camera

yoyohee - 10-2-2008 at 05:05 PM

what.?!? i really don't think they need to come out a new ds.. but eh.. still looks kinda cool with the camera i gues..

I'll probably get one but later on when they have more colours :P Me likes different colours :D Also if they allow to browse the net with the DSi that will be cool. With 2 touch screens you could surf to different web pages at the same or listen to music from your SD card and surf.

Also I'm abit confused, does it have 2 cameras or just one? Anywho if they make it so that you can video call people using the DSi and sort of allow for some more interaction through the touch screens, thet'll be cool.

i think it only has 1 camera on the outside of the top panel.
i don't think you can video call with this lol
theres no screen on the inside so i don't think that would be possible =T
there doesn't seem to be a sim card slot either.
it would be cool though.

hehe would be interesting if people brought back their old gameboy for a DSi or simply a DS-lite :headbang:
Anyways.. the psp 3000 you mentionned, there's really not much difference in terms of performance.
Just an anti-glare screen is not what consumers would like as an upgrade, Sony should do better.
As for nintendo, always impressed with their designs and ideas :P

i think i read somewhere that it's only has one touchscreen... but there's 2 cameras.. one on the outside, one on the inside where the mic..

illusionfx - 10-6-2008 at 08:35 AM

I believe it's the circular dot on the right side of the camera

WhiteDragon - 10-7-2008 at 09:28 AM

there are supposed to be 2 cameras, one on the outside top cover, and one inside where there Mic currently is on the DS lite and the mic has just been moved over slightly, and it's only single touch screen according to the original japanese news release source. there is also, however, also a microSD card slot where the power switch currently is on the DS lite and the powerswitch has been moved inside as a button

SR20DET - 10-8-2008 at 03:07 AM

i read the japanese site for the dsi and it actually looked pretty sweet. although it does lose the function to play gba games, i think the two cameras that least gives you some entertainment even w/o a game is worth the 200 bucks its selling for. i also heard theres some karaoke function on it and bunch of other stuff.

sonymerz - 10-13-2008 at 09:43 PM

when will it be released by?

Jigoku - 10-13-2008 at 09:45 PM

and just when I go out and buy an older model ds... zzzz :( lol

hairball - 12-3-2008 at 07:51 PM

reading from ur comparison at the top, seems like DS Lite is still better, except DSi just has the duals

auginiste - 12-30-2008 at 02:53 PM

HOly shit this is pretty awesome. DS have like the most fun games ever, but the thing i found lacking was that it wasnt much of an entertainment like the PSP. if you play music and videos and use internet on the ds, it'd be the shit!
