The success of compact iPod players attracted attention of many companies on many markets. Companies adopt successful construction solutions from the leader, for example, the idea of the navi-pad is implemented in many models.

A new music slider Asus J206 is equipped with the familiar round navi-pad, which greatly simplifies the operation of the player. Samsung SDI introduces AMOLED LCD for mobile phones

Samsung SDI has developed an LCD for mobile devices, which can display a 3D image. According to the company, it is the first one to create an LCD under AMOLED technology (active-matrix OLED). (LG, Philips and Kodak also work on AMOLED LCD). You can see the display at the current SID 2006 exhibition (Society for Information Display International Symposium and Exhibition) in San Francisco.

The LCD features a 4.3” diagonal and WQVGA (480x272) resolution. It works with 3D images much quicker than the existing LCD, besides it has better resolution. Samsung believes, such LCD will be widely applied in mobile phones. Besides the company works on such LCDs for TV sets and notebooks. The commercial stage is expected to begin in 2007.

nokia took WAY too long to release this phone
now that it is out, it doesn't have the best technology out there
only good thing is the 4GB memory and wifi
but the screen is so small that it would be hard to browse the net

I think the nokia looks way better than the Asus one...at least Nokia has this stylist feeling!!The Asus looks so plastic-ky to me...seems like it would fall apart very easily...:P

It looks like a pretty good phone. The layout is alright. The Nokia ones better though I agree.
