Logitech G Series Peripherals

“The G-series product line is all about seeing how far we can push the envelope, giving gamers extraordinary, engineered-to-win features developed as a result of our deep connection with the gaming community,” said Ruben Mookerjee, Logitech’s director of product marketing for gaming. “With each one of these new G-series products, gamers gain exceptional benefits; but most importantly, they can transform their gear to suit their gameplay.”

The G19 keyboard features a tiltable 320-by-240 pixel color GamePanel LCD that can display in-game details from more than 60 games. Yes, including World of Warcraft. The display can also show computer details, void data and even pictures or videos. The keyboard also includes 12 programmable keys, with three macros per a key, a game mode switch that disables the Windows key, and two 2.0 USB ports.

They keyboard, due out in March, will sell for a whopping $200.

The G35 surround sound headset includes 7.1 surround sound support, a microphone, six voice-morphing options, three programmable keys on the left earpiece to control voice morphing, and volume, microphone mute and surround sound controls. The headset also comes with three swappable headbands.

The headphones, also due out in March, will sell for $130.

Finally, the G9x Laser Mouse includes on-the-fly adjustable dpi from 200 to 5000 dpi, two interchangeable grips, onboard memory for up to five profiles, a weight-tuning system and custom-color LEDs.

The G9x, due out in April, will sell for $100.

That picture looks almost fake...
If I see someone with that, that would totally make him a no-life geek lol.

Anyway, I'm not a PC Gamer so I don't really care.

I think the LCD on the keyboard is a little much. I mean, what's the point... Just a little perk so you can show your friends. I can't find a use for it unless you can use it for a minimap in DOTA lol.

The headphones look sick though - the voice morphing... does it actually control the pitch and tone of your voice? or is it just to adjust the clarity?

If it is like what Temjin said - it's a must LOL

the system i built during this christmas holiday costed a bit over $2000 canadian. I actually had to think over the prices of these logitech products for a good 5 minutes before deciding that the price for the keyboard is a bit too extreme. On a side note, do you guys have any opinions on the razer lycosa and lachesis? i really want to get this set to complete my fantasy rig.

P.S. the mouse that's out right now is g9, not g9x
P.P.S: customizable lighting on both the keyboard and mouse=win

i really dont get the mini screen even when its on the G15 cos its pretty useless
if you're playing fps it displays your bullets and health etc
but whats the point? since you can see it on your screen while blowing heads off why would you need to look all the way down to your keyboard O.o
unless you use it to display what song you're listening to while gaming..

cool, didnt know about the lachesis, looks really decent, but i've kept to my MX518 for a good few years now, really durable :)
As for the Lycosa...im using it now, one of the best keyboards out there! took me awhile to compare and buy it, but i got no regrets of spending $80 on it. (rubberized keys dont wear out as u think it would, backlight a bit dim but serves purpose in the dark, i spilled 3 times on it, just wash it out and let it dry and it works just fine again)

Back to the subject.... the logitech set looks sick as did their previous generation gaming keyboard, but yea the lcd screen doesnt help much, but maybe alert u to some IM sent while in a full screen game, or display CPU status, like temperatures, fan speed.. etc.

Mouse doesnt look all that great, blocky feel probably. but the specs on it make it second to none

headphones are ineteresting.. i gotta see those for myself haha, nice find for new devices

bit pricey on all the parts tho.. like a little less than twice the price on usual good gaming gear...

^above just my opinions

This would be perfect in super sophisticated systems. If playing games is what you do for a living, why not? Its like buying a really nice camera for taking pictures.
