NISSAN 350Z VS. NISSIAN 370Z

hey guys, i was wondering if anyone knows the main differences between the 350z and the 370z. im looking into buying one of them but and not definite about which one. im leaning towards the 350z cause of the exterior looks alone. i havent considered the technical specs of each car yet.

I think the 370z has a bigger engine and a new body style.

i am a fan of the fairlady man. 350 z is a 3.5L Which is tuned to about 265 to 275 horses and the 370 z is a 3.7L Which has 330 horses. so depending on your badget. 370z is a newer version and will cost much more. Both looks damn cool

you're comparing two different cars bro... it really depends on your budget... if its your first car... i would go with the cheaper one so its cheaper to maintain... but in general... instead of depending the forum i would strongly suggest you to do some research as well

you should just go down to the garage and personally try both cars and get the hang of it. nothing beats your own experience in the car

I think the 350Z looks better. The only difference is the body of the car, the engine, the gearing, and the 370Z has a little more room than the 350Z. It's not even that much faster than a 350Z only by .5 seconds. If you're willing to spend 40,000 on a car. I'd rather go with used BMW 335i coupe or a Porsche Cayman S.

The 350z depending on what year will give you different hp, different weight etc. If you're going with the later year which are the higher revving, they have more hp but less torque. The 350z have quite a few problems mainly with the transmission grinding 2nd and i believe 4th gear, brakes were wearing themselves off badly that Nissan got sued, and earlier year models feathered their tires badly due to bad alignment in factory spec. If you're going to go for a 350z go for the newer models as the alignment issue got taken care of. my350z.com has a good source of information for both.

best of luck

Personally I'm thinking of getting a 350 myself. The 370 looks a bit chunky and I test drove one when it 1st came out. Major blind spot with the front pillar (front windshield/side window). It is a bit more powerful of a car tho and handles better.

Also the 350z would be easier to mod if you are trying to do audio work. The stock double-din sized headunit is just screaming to be replaced by something aftermarket. Most newer cars these days have everything integrated by factory design so modding is going to be much more expensive.

The Nismo 370Z price tag is about 40k, and the base 370Z is around 33k. This is not including tax.

What car do you drive? Are you stock? The '09 350Z 0-60 is 5.2 seconds, while the 370Z is 4.7 seconds.

Like my post before, the 350Z is the better option. The 350Z fits all your needs. It has the looks, the performance is pretty amazing, with some bolt-ons and exhaust work, you can be pretty quick. The price is cheaper. And again the 350Z looks tons better.

Are you going to get an automatic, or manual?

posts above covered technical side of your question....now:

get used, although hard to find a "non-beaten" one cos it's nearly non existing....(good luck to find a previous owner who enjoys the car instead of pushing the car)

don't take the impact of first owner....

now.....off topic......G35 coupe?....

You mean the G37 coupe?

I'd prefer the G37, just because of the skyline heritage... but if you want a roadster, than get the 350/370...

If you have the money, you might as well get the 370, unless you prefer the 350 style. Judging by your choice of car, I don't think money is really a factor in this discussion.

Are you going to mod it?

350z looks better imho... that curved back on the 370z doesn't really sit well with me.

I'm selling mine if you're in MTL and you're interested =)

if you are into the modification scene...for sure 350...since a lot of aftermarket parts have already been produced.

But I personally like the 370 better...and my friend at nissan told me that the 0.2 displacement difference played a huge role because he noticed the torque increase in the car ( way more than 0.2 should feel like.)
