Laptop/Notebook for school

Hey, so the new semester just started not that long ago. And i've been thinking of getting a new Laptop/Notebook for school work only. Basicaly running only Office, Excel, Powerpoints, etc.
Not planning to play any games on it. Maybe only watching movies or listening to music. So do you guys have any good suggestions?? My budget is around 300$ but i could go a bit over if it's really worth it.

So what i really look for is performance and battery life. And of course since it's for school, the ligther the better. So what do you guys have in mind and recommand?? Thanks in advance guys!
Good luck during your semester guys!

Hmmmmm coffee :)

I bought the Acer aspire one 722 and I love it! the screens not too small and it can run 720p. I bring it out to lectures and hook it up to my monitor for movies :D

I didn't do an entire test but I think I can get a good 6 hours on pure word processing. The price was 300$ with tax but apparently some models are with the new C60 processor for the same price. That's just a rumour though.
